SE DD Hwy Wastewater Treatment Plant

For several years, Public Water Supply District No. 3 worked diligently to find the most reasonable solution to a wastewater problem that many communities are faced with. Our Board of Directors explored every option available and ultimately decided the best plan of action for the long term would be to build a wastewater treatment plant. With a wastewater customer base of approximately 160 homes in the Hickory Hills Subdivision we knew it was going to be a huge expense. PWSD No. 3 was extremely fortunate to receive grant and loan funds from United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Without the funds from each of these entities we would not have been able to complete this project.
